Face, meet palm

I’m currently working on a post that has turned out to be much longer and more complex than I’d planned. I hope to finish it sometime today. Anyway, in the meantime, I bring you the Ignoramus of the Day award, which goes to a commenter featured on CNN’s “Talk Back” segment this morning. This is part of his response to the question: “Is it time for marriage equality in America?”, referring to New York’s recent legalization of gay marriage:

Also, if same-sex relations were meant to be, why are there two sexes, evolution would have created a super-sex. It makes no sense, in science and religion.

Good lord. I bet that he has unshakable faith in the existence of ManBearPig, too.

  1. This person is at least acknowledging that we’re products of evolution, so that’s at least some progress!

    • And I think he’s really looking forward to the day when evolution finally gets around to creating the supersexxy supersexxx of his dreams!

I like the way he intimates my being a supersex. That’s MY secret he’s sharing to all and sundry. This person has to be stopped. With fire.

    • I think that he’s secretly super-excited about supersexxxy supersexxxs taking over the world

  3. Only Daleks have a single supersex. Maybe he aspires to be a Dalek, or the Dalek Emperor is his God.

    Worship Him! Worship Him!

    • Hee! Maybe he runs a secret Cult of Davros? That would actually be kind of awesome

      June 28, 2011
      • I dunno. I get the impression that Daleks loyal to Davros wouldn’t be pure enough for this dude.

  4. He-he. I love it when people try to use science to justify their prejudices. It’s both sad and funny at the same time. (Okay, not funny exactly, but frustrating to such a degree that it becomes amusing after a while.)

Also, I feel like I should point out that this argument completely ignores the existence of people who who transgender, intersex, etc.

Anyway, I am very happy for NY.
