“Standards!!!”
This is one of my favorite sketches from A Bit of Fry & Laurie (which is saying something, as the entire series is brilliant, wonderfully witty, and delectable). I love everything about this sketch (oh, Stephen and Hugh!). It’s hilarious and it makes an important point about censorship:

love these guys :D
They’re fantastic :) I can watch the episodes over & over again and never get bored
Well…are you saying that we don’t need STANDARDS? ;)
“Bitchmother, Come Light My Bottom” sounds much more fun than any old STANDARDS do! :)
It’s genius. There’s something about Laurie being on a TV while seeming like he is next to Fry. I don’t know why that is funny, but it is.
Yes! I agree. It makes it even funnier, but I don’t know why. & I found the sketch’s script. Hee!: http://abitoffryandlaurie.co.uk/sketches/censored
Very, very violently.
Hee! I love that. Also:
This “Bit of Fry and Laurie” has always been my favorite; also applicable to the recent unpleasantness.
Ha! I love that one too. Plus, Hugh in drag is always a bonus!
Ophelia Laurie, perchance?
Or Hugh Myers?
I think MKG picked up what I was laying down…
Love Fry & Laurie too. I’m Irish and I grew up watching the many fanastic British comedies shows of the 70’s and 80’s.
Awesome. One of my favourite sketch comedy shows. Another bit from the same episode was where Fry was waiting on a cabinet minister in a restaurant who had pushed through a broadcasting deregulation bill through the House of Commons. He took away the nice silver cutlery and replaced it with a sack full of plastic coffee stirrers, stating that “They may be complete crap but at least you’ve got a choice now!”.
Oh yeah! That’s a great sketch. Now I need to go find it on YouTube… :)
