“There’s only one rule I know of, babies- ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind'”

Hi there! Sorry about the recent radio silence around here. I’ve just been super busy and a little overwhelmed lately. Anyway, here’s something that I made the other night. The lovely quote is from Kurt Vonnegut’s God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater:

  2. I was unexpectedly propelled by a series of links to this tiny oasis of inspiration here on the vast interwebs. You never know who’s going to end up reading what you write, eh? I appreciate your recent Steve Jobs quotation about death, and I like this one very much, too. I may share the thought by Mr. Jobs with my friends on Facebook, but here’s one for you that seems very apposite for this post:

It’s so easy to laugh; it’s so easy to hate.
It takes strength to be gentle and kind.
It’s so easy to laugh; it’s so easy to hate.
It takes guts to be gentle and kind
    — “I Know It’s Over” The Smiths (1986)

Keep writing. The life of the academician is a rare treasure to live. Cheers, Miranda.
